I too was scared seeing this company had bad reviews. They were to deliver an expensive bed frame. I got a call, email and text. There no way you can miss their communication. Really great. There is also a link where you can follow your driver on a map throughout the day. Really convenient. Delivery guys were respectful of property. The furniture was not scratched or damaged. They did extremely better than the guys at Wayfair which I recent had delivery furniture. They sucked!
I was happy with Metropolitan and the delivery guys did a great job!

The worst delivery partner I've ever experienced. From the get-go their communication was terrible. My shipment was delayed arriving to the warehouse (which I fully understand; not their fault), but not once did I receive an email; they did try calling from an 800 number, which I assumed was spam. I did not answer, and never heard from them again. I was then *gaurunteed* a certain delivery date, and was told to expect a call within 24 hours...nobody called. I called this place over 5 times to finally secure a new delivery date. Every agent I spoke with assured me they would call me back with an update, and not a single one of them actually followed through. Absolutely terrible communication.

If I could give a negative star I would. This company is extremely disappointing! They employ inexperienced individuals—essentially high school students—to handle your furniture deliveries. Unfortunately, this led to both my furniture and walls being damaged during the process. To make matters worse, when I reported the damage, they insisted that I personally find a contractor to provide an estimate and submit the documentation for reimbursement.

After going through the hassle of securing a professional estimate, the company deemed it too expensive and dismissed it. Keep in mind, my home has very high ceilings and walls, which means that for the repairs to be done properly, the entire wall needs to be repainted to avoid a patchy appearance. Instead of honoring the estimate, they informed me via email that they would be sending out their own “team” to provide a new estimate, which is likely an attempt to minimize costs by offering subpar repairs.

This company is not just unprofessional but also deceptive, setting you up for endless frustration in the hopes that you’ll give up on getting reimbursed for the damages they caused. Their approach is nothing short of a wild goose chase, with the ultimate goal of avoiding responsibility. I strongly advise against using their services—save yourself the headache and choose a company that stands behind their work and values their customers.

No option to provide any feedback on availability through the scheduling process—told me the day before that they’d planned to deliver when I had a very important meeting and were unable to shift delivery times. Was unable to reschedule to another date for a time that I was available. Additionally, I never received the call (or any sort of notification) 30 minutes prior to their arrival as they had guaranteed they would. They just showed up and rung the door with the chair on my front porch with no notice. Very frustrating for “white glove” service… would never recommend.

Today I took delivery of several theatre chairs that were delivered by Metropolitan. The crew of 2 were very professional, worked quickly, knew the assembly necessary and cleaned up thoroughly when they were done. I was very pleased with the service.

Terrible communication. Terrible service. We had a delivery date schedule for a Friday, first they were going to be 4 hours late, then they said the truck broke down and rather than getting everything onto another truck, the cancelled delivery.

They were supposed to deliver and assemble a table that I needed for my son’s first birthday party.

Original order was from Costco. Costco couldn’t do anything about it.

Beware of this company.

I am so frustrated with this company. A couple years ago they delivered a couch, and on the delivery day the man who was delivering was confused about our apartment building and just decided to leave without delivering, and we ended up having to wait weeks to reschedule. We are currently waiting on another delivery, and they decided to cancel the delivery two days before it was supposed to be delivered, but apparently they called a completely random number that is not associated with us or our order whatsoever. They are incredibly frustrating to work with.

When I found out from the furniture company that Metropolitan was the one delivering my furniture, I came here to look for reviews and I was horrified by so many bad reviews.

I came back here today to write my review which is the exact opposite from those. Now I’m not saying those people were making up the stories and I feel bad to read what they experienced but for me everything went very smoothly with no problems at all.

I was able to schedule the delivery date online. Earliest one was the next day and still plenty of options left. Few days before the delivery day they sent me message informing the time would be between 12:30 to 2:30. The day of, they sent me a tracking map kinda like the ones Amazon has and the updated delivery time. 25 min before arrival, the driver called me to inform. 2 nice men arrived at the time they promised and quickly delivered boxes, built the furniture (which took less than 30 minutes!), collected all the boxes&packing supplies and left.

There was no problems, no stress. I have nothing but nice things to say about the whole experience. I hope whoever reading this, your experience will be as nice as mine.
