Just wanted to know if any of you're driver's do their vehicle checks properly before heading out onto the UK roads. I myself think that the driver who hit the railway bridge on the A5 at Hinckley pulling the Morrisons trailer didn't. Obviously another driver not bothering to do their vehicle checks properly.

Disgusting company , made my friend quit their previous job as they had offered her a position. Less than 2 days later she got a call from them saying that they no longer want her. But waited until she had already handed in her notice so now they have left her jobless. They’ve only made this decision based off of the fact she’s in a wheelchair and disabled and don’t want to accommodate to any appointments she may need (which she already mentioned wouldn’t be needed as she doesn’t have many). So now they’ve left her without a job and no way to pay her bills and all she’s gotten is a half hearted sorry. It’s bang out of order , they’re discriminating against her all because she’s in a wheelchair. Avoid at all costs they don’t deserve any staff or any custom.

As a hgv I make regular visits to Romac and find the staff fair & pleasant. Back in October this company actually went above & beyond.I experienced a injury on site getting into my cab when my back went into total spasm forcing me to become totally incapacitated,if it hadn't been for Christine & her staff I really don't know what I would of done. Every body looked after me whilst calling an ambulance,the ambulance actually took over 2hrs to come & Christine & her staff took care of me whilst laying on floor in freezing conditions.It got to the point where after 2hrs Christine took it upon herself that enough is enough & went to get her own vehicle & take me to Oldham hospital herself,but as she did so the ambulance actually turned up.Can't praise all the staff enough. I spent a week in Oldham hospital and during that time Christine GM actually took timeout of her work schedule to actually come and visit me in hospital at 10.30pm to see how I was i was shocked and pleased she put her self out. Christine is a credit to this company. (Romac Middleton) A big thanks to all at Romac. I'm now on a speedy recovery.

Avoid at all cost.... Unless the want costs. Don't pay you correctly, constantly chasing up missing hours. Every driver is new which says it all. After 30 years in the hgv game I haven't come across a worse company. Not to mention the condition of the trucks! Every truck has more light on it than a Christmas tree. Don't waste your time here!!

Thanks for the feedback Paddy the lights are back working, trip switch had gone! Obviously self loading didn't appeal to you? So each man to their own I suppose... As for the Night Heaters we have very few issues so sorry to hear yours wasn't working.

Absolute crooks. Try to get staff to sign contracts for 9-5 day work, when they will actually be working 4on 4off night shifts for a day rate. Nothing short of thieves
